WHAT IS THE
NEED?
Infectious disease puts enormous strain on patients, healthcare providers, and hospitals. We saw this in day-to-day hospitalizations during the COVID pandemic.
Patients suffer in profound isolation, unable to touch or communicate with loved ones. Healthcare providers, stretched thin, experience exhausting shifts in uncomfortable Personal Protection Equipment, worried about their risk of infection.
Hospitals face shortages of equipment, staff, and Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms (AIIRs), and have been forced to improvise costly, time-consuming, and suboptimal solutions. Only four percent of US hospital rooms are currently able to effectively isolate patients. Most hospitals had to put elective procedures and chronic care on hold, resulting in more patients dying from chronic conditions than COVID, and a massive decrease in critical hospital operating income.
THE
SOLUTION
Carecubes offer critical, life-saving care without risking providers’ lives or causing them extreme discomfort with constant use of PPE. They are designed to allow rapid access to patients in isolation without causing additional stress to either patient or provider.
“The Carecube allows me and my team to care for patients without the concern of contracting a virus while preserving my tactile and visual senses, thereby allowing me to perform procedures vital to patient care while remaining safe and without anxiety.”

COVID-19 exposed serious gaps in the nation’s health care system, leading to the deaths of more than one million Americans and counting. [NETEC’s] National Special Pathogen System of Care was designed in response, to prepare the country for the next large-scale outbreak.
