Dr. M. Jana Broadhurst, MD, PhD, DTMH, is an Assistant Professor in Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at UNMC’s College of Medicine and the clinical laboratory director for the U.S. Region 7 Special Pathogens Treatment Center. As a Global Center for Health Security Scholar, she specializes in infectious disease diagnostics, leading pivotal COVID-19 research and biocontainment efforts. Earlier in her career, she gained critical field experience as the diagnostics lead for the Partners In Health Ebola Response Team during the West Africa Ebola epidemic.
