In this webinar, you will learn how to recognize, diagnose, and manage measles amid rising cases across the country. Led by a world-renowned infectious disease expert with firsthand outbreak experience, the session covers clinical presentation, appropriate treatment and support strategies, and critical response measures including isolation, reporting, and transmission prevention.
The ISTARI Critical Care system is a modular, mobile isolation unit designed to support safe, effective care for patients with high-consequence infectious diseases. Developed from an early DARPA-supported Ebola prototype, ISTARI Critical Care reimagines infection control by placing the protective barrier around the patient—allowing clinicians immediate, continuous access without donning and doffing PPE.
Through collaboration with UNMC’s care protocol simulations, the design has been refined to support real-world clinical workflows. Key features include flexible hug suits and lean-in panels for full patient access, airlock pass-throughs for supplies and waste, and conduit panels that reduce equipment decontamination and disposal burdens. The system also creates a safe way for families to remain closely connected to their loved ones during isolation.
