Company Vision

Caring for patients and keeping them safe is important, but it’s just as important to protect those front line workers who provide care. Designed for medical facilities that need a way to isolate and treat airborne infections while maintaining standard operations, the Carecube offers an effective, inexpensive and scalable option that surrounds the patient in a negative-pressure space, but allows for intimate and compassionate care while keeping doctors, nurses and other workers safe.

How it Started

Working in direct partnership with the CDC and DARPA the Carecube was initially developed by Otherlab, Inc., an independent research and design lab, in 2014 in response to the Ebola crisis. Otherlab pairs creativity with rigor to bring this new healthcare solutions to market.

Alex is the executive chairman and founder of Rewiring America, an organization that advocates for the rapid decarbonization of our economy through electrification.

Founder & Head of Product

A legendary self-starter and self-finisher, Patti leads the R&D team, product manufacturing, and champions narrative marketing and for high-growth early stage companies and break-through product launches, notably at Otherlab, Timbuk2, and Carecubes.
